Her Life And Times

Seybold and raised three sons and one daughter -- John Gabenski, Ronald Seybold, Robert C. Seybold, and Tina (Seybold) Mockbee. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert and their infant son Nicholas.

In 1986, Ginny sold her home in Point Place and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where her son John and sister Carrie Halpern lived. In 2010, she moved back to Toledo and became a resident of Franciscan Care Center of Sylvania, where she passed away on April 26, 2013.

  1. She loved the heat of the desert, and the way that it made the flowers on her patio bloom in the springtime. She loved to read by the light of her sliding glass door, at Casablanca and later on at The Ritz, her apartment homes.

  2. She loved Maeve Binchy novels and devoured them in days. She was resourceful, with the space in her apartment as well as outside. Once she stopped driving, she rented out her parking space for a little folding money.

  3. I remember the Point Place years best. We traded visiting on Christmas Day. Ginny was always, well-dressed, trim and made up perfectly. We had great picnics on summer holidays. Bob or Ralph would cook dogs and burgers and there would be potato salad and cupcakes and red Kool-Aid, made better with a quart of Red Pop!
