This photo of Ginny (circa 1976) reveals an infamous bit of family lore. In the background, you'll see "The Dog House." This souvenir item that Ginny purchased on a family vacation featured a handful of wooden dog placards and an empty spot in "the dog house."
Each child (and our father) had a dog with their name, and the joke among Ginny's kids was that her dog house was never empty, and everyone took a turn occupying it at one time, even long after plaque disappeared.
